In the Beginning

It all started when I was but a child… I had a dream. Unlike other children, whose dreams were fleeting and mostly superficial, I walked the forests as a protector against invasion, I fought Goddesses and Gods to show my worth, I destroyed unknown and broken systems to free the meek and oppressed, I made the wheel of life turn, I sought out relics of power, and I had these dreams again and again as I grew. The very same ones. Yes, they did change as I did, and some of them only repeated every few years, but I still had them none the less and they were so very real, even to this day.

The Thundering Years

I always knew that I was different and as I grew and became a teenager, I discovered what I was. I was a seeker of truths, the one who shines his lantern into the darkness. I was a Witch. I never had a word for what I was until 1996 when I stumbled upon Wicca for the first time. Here it was, everything I had been learning, or was that remembering, right there in black and white for me to read. I discovered that what I had been doing all along was called Lucid Dreaming and Astral Projection.

Among the other things that I had been doing in those dreams, they formed the very basis of my current pursuit of Meditation, Kabbalistic Pathworkings, Magick, Witchcraft and Divination, Energy Work and the Chakras, and Reiki. It still took me a few more years before I found a willing teacher and received formal instruction in the ways of magick. The rest is history as they say. I have been a Witch all my life, though only aware of it for the past 11 years. I am an ordained Witch trained in a traditional Witchcraft tradition.

Today

My aim is to use my knowledge together with my innate talents and my own discovery of my higher self to help others, regardless of religion, to find their way down their own paths, and to discover and develop their own talents to the fullest extent. This blog will serve as a record, a road map and will detail my own journey down my path as I walk it, which will inevitably help others who find themselves in a similar situation I am sure. I may have been doing some of these things for years passively, but some of them I am just embarking on in an active way for myself.

What is Astral Keyhole?

The Astral Keyhole is a culmination of many things, but most notably my discovery of blogging as a platform to help people, and to make a few green pieces of paper along the way (I should note however that making money is not this blogs main goal). Most influential was an article I read on Steve Pavlina’s blog called How to make money from your blog. I suspect that many new bloggers out there started due to this article alone. After reading that article my thirst for all knowledge of blogging became insatiable and I spent the next six months after that devouring everything that I could find on the subject. This blog is a culmination of all that research.

So what can you expect to find here? Besides the topics mentioned already, I’ll also be posting monthly book reviews, link round ups on various topics related to my niche, and my own experiences on the already above mentioned topics. My posting frequency will be every Monday and Friday. Maybe more often if I can fit in the time.
